Paige VanZant has a new money-making venture to sink her teeth into, but it’s going to be nowhere near as lucrative as her career as a thirst-trapping content creator.
“I just signed a contract, and whether motherf–kers like it or not, I am doing Power Slap,” VanZant said in a video posted on her Instagram account.
Power Slap, the highly controversial slap-fighting organization run by UFC president Dana White, features two combatants slapping each other in the face one at a time while not defending themselves, with the winner being the last man (or woman) standing or decided if no knockout within three rounds.
VanZant, 30, has fought in the UFC, Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, conventional boxing, and now slap-fighting, but she adds that this is no longer her full-time job — more of a hobby.
“Fighting, I have to understand now, is just a hobby; it’s my part-time job,” VanZant said via TMZ. “I have to realize that OnlyFans is what’s providing everything for me.”
“There’s a lot of things I would [do] to provide and support for my family,” she continued. “I would kill for my family. This is much less than that.”
VanZant has become a social media star outside of OnlyFans as well, snatching up 3.1 million followers on Instagram as she constantly teases her risqué paywall content.
Her actual fighting career appears to be nearing an end with a whimper, though, as they seemingly all do.
She ended her UFC career going 2-3 and her boxing career concludes 0-2-1, with her most recent bout coming against adult film star Elle Brooke, who fought her to a split draw.
VanZant was a -225 favorite in that bout, so the result was at least a little disappointing despite the reality that has set in that she is likely more a model than a fighter at this stage.
