AOC, Bernie Sanders dubbed ‘sellouts’ by far-left group at NYC Jamaal Bowman rally for not being pro-Palestinian enough

Red alert!

Socialists were eating their own at a rally for Rep. Jamaal Bowman in the Bronx Saturday as extreme leftist radicals ripped “sellouts” Sen. Bernie Sanders and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez for not backing Palestine enough to their liking.

Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez joined 300 comrades at St. Mary’s Park for a “get out and vote” rally in to support “Squad” member Bowman, who is badly behind in polls in his June 25 primary against Westchester County Executive George Latimer, a moderate Democrat.

However, outside the park, the anti-Israel group Within Our Lifetime, run by radicals Nerdeen Kiswani and Fatima Mousa, hosted a “Flood the Bronx for Gaza” to counter the rally.

Roughly 150 attended the protest.

Some banged drums while others held signs with slogans like “For class war to free Palestine! Dump Genocide Joe and the Squad.”

“If Bowman and the rest of them claim to be allies of the Palestinian people, the bare minimum is not endorsing the person we have been protesting against the last nine months and who has enabled the genocide of the people in Gaza,” said Kiswani, parroting a debunked Hamas talking point.

President Biden’s White House has said Israel is not committing genocide during its war on Hamas terrorists.

At the rally for a desperate Bowman — which took place outside his district — Sanders, Ocasio-Cortez and other speakers never mentioned the protest happening in plain sight outside the park gates.

Instead, the far lefties spoke glowingly about Bowman and whined about the record-breaking $14.5 million being spent by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee on TV, radio, social media and digital ads to pound Bowman over his criticisms of the Jewish state.

“Are we ready to take on AIPAC?” shouted Ocasio-Cortez, drawing cheers from the crowd.

“Are we ready to kick some Wall Street ass? Because we are tired of having corporate lobbies trying to buy up our communities and sell them to us. We all know why we’re here.”

Bowman also said he’s not worried about the huge amounts of money pouring in to help kick him out of office.

“AIPAC is scared to death,” he insisted. “That is why they are spending record amounts of money in this race. They are afraid. They have already lost.”

“This movement is more powerful than their money,” said Bowman, who has called for a cease fire in Gaza. “Our people are more powerful than their power. It is time for us to show them the real power of the people. We’re going to show them how mighty we are.”

Sanders called the Bowman-Latimer race “one of the most important” elections in the modern history of America.

“This election is not about Jamaal vs Mr. Latimer, this election is about whether or not the billionaire class and the oligarchs will control the United States government. And I look to you to know they won’t,” he said.

Recent polls show Bowman trailing Latimer by double digits in the district, which stretches from Co-Op City in the Bronx to some of the wealthiest neighborhoods in Westchester.

Even before the Israel-Hamas war began, Bowman took heat for favoring far-left agenda items over the needs of his own constituents.

His vote against Biden’s infrastructure bill — after insisting it helped white people too much — has become a major issue in the race.

He’s also faced widespread mockery for pulling a fire alarm during a government funding vote last year.

Bowman embraced ceasefire proposals that would allow Hamas to remain in power and has freely campaigned with activists who celebrated the attacks.

While Bowman’s other endorsements include fellow “squad” members, Latimer’s endorsements include former Democratic presidential nominee and US Sen. Hillary Clinton and many moderate local legislators.

Locals gave both sides a Bronx cheer.

“Bernie Sanders is a socialist. AOC doesn’t love America and Biden is terrible. These guys are not for America,” said one area resident named Sean.
