Brianna “Chickenfry” LaPaglia is in her experimental era.
The “BFFs” podcast host, 25, told Page Six Style at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2025 launch party on Thursday that she’s a whole new Bri after her traumatic breakup with Zach Bryan last year — and is trying on some new styles.
“I think I’ve just really been taking risks about what I’m wearing, what I’m emulating. I’m really, like, leaning into my androgynous side,” the TikTok star told us at the Hard Rock Hotel in NYC.
“So I’ve really been kind of tapping into my bisexual era, and like, going on dates with girls and just trying fashion that I would be scared to try otherwise,” she continued. “And it’s been really cool. It’s been really fun. I feel like I’m learning a lot about my style.”
When asked about some of the looks she’s been trying, LaPaglia exclaimed, “Jorts! I really wanted to wear jorts. Everyone else is; I can wear them now without feeling weird.”
LaPaglia landed the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit’s digital issue in January, which she said in the accompanying interview helped her reclaim her body and “who I am as a woman” after Bryan allegedly controlled her clothing choices, hair color and more.
The country singer also allegedly had a vendetta against the magazine, with LaPaglia claiming he previously banned her from hosting SI Swim’s 60th anniversary red carpet and deemed the gig “trashy.”
“I was genuinely very terrified when I did my Sports Illustrated shoot, because I’ve never done anything like that before. I’ve never done anything in a bathing suit; I don’t really do that,” she told us.
“But I talked to Camille Kostek, and she just told me to feel your energy, play your favorite music and listen to the photographer, and don’t take it so seriously,” she said, adding that she felt “like a bad bitch” with the right song playing.
One artist we can guarantee wasn’t on the playlist? Zach Bryan.
