It’s been six long seasons since the Los Angeles Chargers won a postseason game.
In 2024, quarterback Justin Herbert and Co. did everything they could to reverse that trend by going 11-6 in the regular season to advance to the playoffs. Then, in the wild-card round, things looked good after the first quarter when they went up against the Texans, 6-0.
Unfortunately, their opponents went on a tear and won, 32-12.
“They were the better team today,” head coach Jim Harbaugh said in a postgame press conference.
To bolster the roster, general manager Joe Hortiz got down to business in the offseason, bringing back fan-favorite wide receiver Mike Williams, and signing running back Najee Harris, guard Mekhi Becton, defensive tackle Da’Shawn Hand and cornerback Donte Jackson.
Plus, the franchise drafted UNC running back Omarion Hampton, University of Mississippi wideout Tre Harris and University of Oregon defensive lineman Jamaree Caldwell.
And now that the 2025 schedule has officially been released, we know what’s in store for the talented team.
Huge home games at SoFi Stadium include matchups against the Denver Broncos (Sept. 21), Washington Commanders (Oct. 5), Minnesota Vikings (Oct. 23) and Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles (Dec. 8).
And yes, the Chargers will get a chance to redeem themselves against the Houston Texans in the final game of the regular season.
