A Long Island high school is under lockdown after an apparent threat from a 15-year-old student who claimed to be armed with an AR-15 semiautomatic rifle, law enforcement sources said.
The threat, reported to 911 by a parent on Thursday morning, said the teen said he was “tired of being bullied” at Long Beach High School, the sources said.
Police swarmed the school as students were ordered into a lockdown, with sources saying Long Beach Middle School and Long Beach Elementary School were also affected.
