Ramona Singer was dragged by fans for taking a photo with Daniel Penny, who was acquitted of killing Jordan Neely on a NYC subway in 2023.
On Friday, the former “Real Housewives of New York City” star shared a picture on Instagram of herself posing with Penny at an event.
“So proud Daniel Penny !! #apennysaved #hero,” she captioned the post.
Fans immediately took to Singer’s comments section to share their disdain for the former Bravo star’s support of Penny.
“Literally murdered another human being in cold blood. But go off,” one user claimed.
“Even for you this is LOW,” added another.
“Proud of what exactly? He murdered a homeless man! You are shameless,” commented a third netizen.
“This is foul,” said a fourth fan.
“Ramona really said where’s rock bottom and found it,” said a fifth person.
Another user urged fans to “stop 🛑 expecting different from Ramona and who she aligns with,” while a different Instagram user claims Singer, 68, goes “out of [her] way to let the world know u low key rasict [sic].”
“Summer House: Martha’s Vineyard” alum Preston Mitchum also slammed Singer.
“A picture going around where Ramona Singer is standing next to a Daniel Penny, a white man who killed a neurodiverse Black man, and was found ‘not guilty,’” he wrote on his Instagram Story Saturday.
“Dorinda [Medley] is in the comments saying how beautiful she looks. Some white women get away with anything they want – no matter how disgusting. And networks like them and double their rates.”
Singer’s rep tells Page Six exclusively: “Daniel was found not guilty and he was protecting lives. Some of the same people who are criticizing her seem to be people who praise Luigi Mangione who is an actual murderer.”
Mangione pleaded not guilty in the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in December 2024. A date for his trial has not yet been set.
In May 2023, Penny killed Neely, a 30-year-old homeless Black man, after putting him in a chokehold while riding the NYC subway.
The Marine Corps veteran claimed he was acting in self-defense, claiming that Neely threatened to “kill everybody” on the train. He also claimed that he did not intend to kill Neely, who battled mental illness, with his restraint and was trying to de-escalate the situation.
Penny was acquitted of criminally negligent homicide in December 2024.
Meanwhile, Singer has been accused of being “racist” after allegedly using the N-word on different occasions.
In 2023, the former Bravolebrity used the N-word in a conversation with a Black crew member during Season 13 production of “RHONY.”
Singer then tried to downplay her alleged racism by texting a Page Six reporter, “And the word I used was ‘NWord’ Not n-g…”
In January 2024, Singer was called out by “RHONY” alum Luann de Lesseps for her lack of “self-awareness” after she posed in front of a portrait of a Native American man.
