There is nothing subtle about a Seth Rollins entrance — especially when it comes in support of the Bears and hammering on the Packers in Green Bay.
Sporting a sparkly navy blue suit, a WWE belt with a Chicago logo, and pit viper-esque sunglasses, the diehard fan was the Bears hype man for the 2025 NFL Draft, roasting the rival Packers as he announced Chicago’s 56th pick in the second round on Friday night.
It was what some fans were calling to be the greatest draft selection announcement to date.
“Green Bay, Wisconsin!” Rollins started off on stage. “Is that all you got? Come on, you can be louder than that.”
He was met with heavy “boos” from the audience as he spoke.
“I know y’all mad because championship gold looks good on the blue and orange,” he said with a taunting laugh.
“But it all seriousness Green Bay, we are in the shadow of Lambeau Field and I love Lambeau Field because the king of the North — the best quarterback in the NFC North — Caleb Williams is undefeated at Lambeau Field. And in case y’all unfamiliar with my game, let me remind you, I am a visionary. I am a revolutionary.
“I am Seth freaking Rollins and I’m here to tell you that with the 56th pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the greatest franchise in the NFL — the Chicago Bears — select Ozzie Trapilo, tackle, from Boston College. Let’s burn it down in Beartown, Chicago!”
After the selection, fans were even calling Rollins to host the entire three-day spectacle.
“Seth Rollins was fantastic. Give me a WWE wrestler to announce each pick. All seven rounds,” Heath Cummings of CBS sports posted on X.
“Seth Rollins trolling Packers fans is straight gold,” a user posted on X.
“Seth Rollins is EXACTLY who I’d want reading a pick for the Bears in Green Bay,” another posted.
“Build Seth Rollins a statue at Arlington Heights,” an X user posted.
Someone also chimed in saying, “Even Seth Freaking Rollins was drafted before Shedeur Sanders.”
Rollins also found himself in the middle of some fellow diehard Bears fans in the draft crowd, with those wearing bear paws and heads, face paint, and more.
The WWE star also gave his take on Bears’ 10th overall selection of tight end Colston Loveland on Thursday.
“I felt like a second tight end would be a good option for the Bears at 10,” he told the NFL. I thought Tyler Warren. Colston Loveland, I knew nothing of this man! He’s not on my radar at all. So, I went and did a little bit of a dive on him and I like the kid. I like him.
“I think he’s good. I think he’s got a lot of potential — the range, the size. What I was curious about was what did [Ryan] Poles and what did [Ben] Johnson see in the evaluation that put him so high? Because nobody was talking about him.”
Rollins defeated Roman Reigns and CM Punk nearly a week ago at WrestleMania 41, which also saw him team up with Paul Heyman for the event.
