Ranking the top special teams players in the 2025 NFL Draft

The Post’s Ryan Dunleavy gives his top five kickers, punters and returners in this year’s NFL draft, based on evaluations and conversations with people around the league:

Kickers

1. Andres Borregales, Miami, 5-11, 199

Venezuelan-born younger brother of former NFL kicker Jose Borregales. Converted 86 percent of his career field goals, including 18 of 19 last season and 75 percent from 50-plus yards. Mechanics look the same every time. Unfazed by pressure.

2. Ryan Fitzgerald, Florida State, 5-11, 193

Perfect 13-for-13 season in 2024 included 5-for-5 from 50-plus yards, topped by a 59-yarder. Might need to be paired with punter who handles kickoffs. Joined Caden Davis as Senior Bowl’s kickers. Overcame early career struggles to lead ACC in points in 2023.

3. Tyler Loop, Arizona, 5-11, 191

Converted 83.8 percent of his career field goals, including a program-record 62-yarder last season. Was inconsistent as a senior, with five missed field goals and only two career missed PATs (126-for-128). Leg strength to force touchbacks at will.
