President Joe Biden brought at least 8 million illegal immigrants into the United States through an assortment of semi-legal programs.
Now, President Donald Trump is seeking to do the will of the American people by deporting them, but the Democrats’ tooth-and-nail legal fight against him shows that keeping them in the country forever was always their plan.
District Judges James Boasberg and Indira Talwani have both decided to stand in the way of the voters’ will, demanding that planes be turned around mid-air or blocking the withdrawal of “temporary” protected status for half a million migrants.
Where were these judges when Biden blatantly broke immigration law by bringing all these people in?
Now they claim to revere the rule of law, but for four years, the judiciary either looked the other way or helped maintain Biden’s border crisis.
If the full array of amnesty hearings and appeals were to be given to all the millions of illegal immigrants Biden ushered in, it would take not decades but centuries to clear the backlog of cases.
Biden’s aides knew this when they opened the floodgates, and they knew it when they brought suit against Texas for securing its part of the US-Mexico border.
They knew this when they abolished “Remain in Mexico” and told millions of people to simply hang out until their court dates came up — or until the administration did away with their court dates altogether, leaving them as de facto permanent residents.
Polling shows that mass deportation is what the voters want. They propelled Trump into office to fulfill this promise, just as they did in 2016 before the Democrats made the border a mess again.
But as judges fight Trump’s deportations one by one, demanding endless due process for every single person here illegally, the impossibility of that task shows their priority is to serve Democrats’ destructive mission.
The party’s plan is now laid bare: Bring in millions of people, let them work illegally, increase blue-state congressional power, draw on state and federal benefits, and expand government reach — all to prop up the lifestyle of the laptop class.
Meanwhile, keep the American working class hooked on cheap imported goods, fighting with undocumented workers for housing, health care, and jobs.
They’ve said it outright and repeatedly — proof that the “humanitarian concerns” they profess for illegal immigrants are hollow.
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) made it plain when she said, “We done picking cotton,” as she cheered illegal employment.
Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has said the US needs illegal immigrants to replace a declining American-born population, with the “ultimate goal” of a “path to citizenship for all 11 million undocumented or however many there are.”
Biden advocated for admitting every unaccompanied minor, no questions asked, fueling the child sex trade.
Barack Obama cribbed his “si, se puede” campaign slogan from labor leader Cesar Chavez — forgetting, as he devoured labor-union campaign contributions, that Chavez vociferously opposed illegal immigration.
Chavez knew they undercut American wages and were commonly used as strike-breakers, destroying workers’ bargaining power.
Democrats brought all these people in because they chose to, not because they were unable to stop an uncontrollable flow.
They claimed Congress needed to pass “comprehensive immigration reform” to seal up the border, but we see now that all it took was enforcement — and a judiciary that respected the rule of law.
“We are not saying don’t come,” Alejandro Mayorkas, Biden’s homeland security secretary, told the world from the White House briefing room on March 1, 2021. “We’re saying don’t come now.”
The courts listened, conveniently ignoring the second part of the comment.
“We will find you, and we will deport you,” Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said in February — and the courts should listen to her, too.
A new president has the duty to enforce the laws on the books, and this administration is determined to do so.
“Ask the people weeping over the lack of due process what precisely they propose,” Vice President JD Vance posted this week.
“They want to accomplish through fake legal process what they failed to accomplish politically: The ratification of Biden’s illegal migrant invasion. President Trump and I will not stand for it.”
So expect the deportations to continue.
Immigration law is vast: Asylum seekers whose cases have been dismissed, like the 350,000 dismissals Biden quietly issued in June 2024, are eligible for deportation.
Those who have used false documentation, such as a fake Social Security number, are eligible for deportation.
Temporary Protected Status is only good for two years and can then be summarily terminated.
The expedited removal process allows the speedy deportation of undocumented individuals without a hearing.
Democrats took advantage of America’s legal system. Republicans must use every tool to right their wrongs.
