TAMPA — Food poisoning has struck another Yankee.

Austin Wells was out of the lineup Friday against the Rays after waking up what a case of what he believes to be food poisoning — which is what took out Cody Bellinger for a game last week in Detroit.

Unlike Bellinger, Wells said he did not consume any bad wings, nor was it a burrito from his Instagram account that ranks them in visiting clubhouses

“I went to sleep feeling great,” Wells said. “So no idea what happened. Someone poisoned me in my sleep.”

The catcher was still not entirely sure what did the damage, but he had not been able to eat anything on Friday, so he was not in the Yankees’ lineup for a second straight game — with Thursday being a planned day off — as J.C. Escarra took over once again.
