Raquel Welch’s former home in Los Angeles has sold for $3.1M

The Los Angeles estate of the late, legendary actress — and 1960s international bombshell — Raquel Welch has sold for $3.1 million.

The property was first asking $3.9 million — and last asking $3.69 million.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom Mediterranean-style home is in Bel-Air, at 3011 N Beverly Glen Circle. Welch purchased the gated villa, built in 1998, for $2.5 million in 2009.

Mansion Global first reported news of the sale.

The seller is the British horror film producer Justin Hyne.

Born in Chicago to a Bolivian father and an English mother, Welch is the subject of a new documentary that premiered in March, “I am Raquel Welch.” The film explores her Latino heritage and its impact on her life and career.

Her maiden name was Raquel Tejada; she took her first husband’s name, Welch, for the silver screen.

In the documentary, she is asked if she thinks she would have been able to go as far in Hollywood if she kept her maiden name.

“If I was Raquel Tejado, not a chance in hell, no. No way,” she replied.

This California home is 5,118 square feet and opens to a foyer with columns, leading to a living room with a fireplace and French doors. There’s also a family room that opens to a trellised entertaining terrace and the pool. An eat-in kitchen and a home office are also on the main floor.

Upstairs, a main bedroom suite comes with a decorative fireplace, an ensuite bath and French doors that open to a covered terrace.

There’s also plenty of storage throughout.

Welch made her name with films like “One Million Years B.C.” She passed away in 2023 at the age of 82 of cardiac arrest. She also had Alzheimer’s, according to reports.

The co-listing brokers are Ernie Carswell and Lloyd Ross, of Douglas Elliman, and Brett Lawyer of Carolwood Estates.
