Protector app: A high-tech call to arms
Security guys. NYPD types. Bodyguards. Their new name — Protector. It’s an app, so you can hire your own.
Jim Zourek: “We’re ex-military. High-level security via an app. Officers, military special ops guys. Years of enforcement and experience. Air Force rescue men, SEALs.
“All licensed to carry firearms. Protecting high-worth celebrities, VIP tech investors, billionaires launching high-level cutting edge products.”
What about the Donald or Ronald Reagan shootings?
“Mistakes were made. New York and LA are hotbeds. Also Miami and San Francisco. If someone gets to your principal, it’s a failure. There’s always desperate individuals willing to sacrifice themselves. Look, we just had royalty. Met the whole entourage at the airport, escorted them several places but kept a low profile.
“Interviewing a Navy SEAL we’ll know the same people. Their community verifies them. We’re not cheap. We’re military, we’re police. No sitters. You’re ordering up an elite high-level guy. We’re a few hundred dollars per hour per protector.”
Hollywood goes reel deep
Hollywood. Trying to play nice, comes now “Number One on the Call Sheet.” Gets deep into black actors’ struggle for jobs.
Jamie Foxx: “Black or African Americans won’t say how badly they feel. But as a kid looking in the mirror acting out a John Wayne scene you don’t think this is ever possible for them. When it is you’re so grateful.”
Part 1 of this documentary premieres the 28th on Apple TV+.
Witchy women
Listen they’re even making Wonder Woman into an Evil Queen.
In the latest “Snow White,” she’s pitch dark. Out Friday. A royal baddie whose playmates are not nice girls.
Gal Gadot says her Evil Queen says: “ ‘Magic Mirror on the wall’ before she lets herself go all the way and say, ‘I love celebrating evil.’ ”
OK, hon, but remember Marie Antoinette didn’t have much time left to go for fittings.
Wait. More misery. Nicole Kidman in “Holland.” Amazon Prime, March 27. “Dark, suspenseful, thrilling, chilling, empowering and weird,” she says.
Nice for Ash Wednesday, Easter Sunday, Lent, Ramadan, Good Friday, Mother’s Day and June brides. I mean, what could be better.
Nicole, from her two lips to tulips: “The twists and turns shake up and I say, ‘I love celebrating evil.’ ”
Just go to the movies, hon.
