Maniac shoplifter stabs NYC bodega worker in neck: sources

A maniac stabbed a bodega employee in the neck when the worker confronted him for shoplifting inside the Manhattan store Wednesday morning, sources said. 

The broad daylight bloodshed erupted when the unhinged nut sliced the 24-year-old clerk inside the Food Market bodega on East 116 Street and Third Avenue in East Harlem around 10:40 a.m., according to cops and sources.

Medics rushed the wounded victim to NYC Health+Hospitals/Harlem in stable condition. 

The perp, who sources said is homeless, fled southbound on Third Avenue and has yet to be caught. 

It’s unclear if he made off with any stolen items.
