The Cooper Flagg-less Blue Devils barely escaped with a win on Friday night against their conference rival Tar Heels.
At the free throw line with seconds left in the game and a chance to take the lead, North Carolina’s Ven-Allen Lubin missed the first attempt before a lane violation from Jae-Lyn Withers erased the second try, handing Duke the win.
Duke’s path to the ACC title only gets harder in the championship game against Louisville on Saturday night.

Duke vs. Louisville prediction
The Cardinals stumbled out to a 6-5 start but have been nearly flawless ever since by going 21-1, losing only a road game against Georgia Tech.
Duke won by 11 when these two teams met in early December, but that was on the back of 20 points and 12 rebounds from Flagg.
And that game wasn’t a breeze for Duke despite what the final score might suggest.
The Blue Devils were down by as much as 14 in the first half and seven midway through the second, before storming back and running away with a double-digit win.
Louisville should be able to keep it close, at the very least, this time around.
The play: Louisville +6.5 (-110, BetMGM Sportsbook)
