While Auburn is almost locked into a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament, the Tigers won’t want to go into the Big Dance riding a three-game losing streak.
On the other hand, there’s not all that much at stake for Ole Miss in this situation.
Sure, the Rebels would love to pull the upset and keep their hopes of winning the SEC Title alive, but Mississippi has already punched its ticket to the dance and a defeat at the hands of one of the best teams in the country won’t change that.
That’s good news for Ole Miss, because this looks like a brutal matchup for Chris Beard’s side.
Auburn’s offense grades out as the top unit in the country per KenPom, and they’ve had their way with Ole Miss on two occasions this season.
The Tigers averaged 99 points in their two wins against the Rebels in 2024-25.
