Duke’s Cooper Flagg in wheelchair after suffering injury in major March Madness scare

The No. 1 team in the nation has a major March Madness scare on its hands.

Duke freshman phenom Cooper Flagg, the projected No. 1 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, suffered a left ankle injury and was placed in a wheel chair during the ACC Tournament Thursday.

Flagg is doubtful to return to the top-seeded Blue Devils’ quarterfinal matchup against the eighth-seeded Yellow Jackets, per the school, and did not ake the court for the start of the second half.

Flagg landed awkwardly while going for a defensive rebound with the Yellow Jackets leading, 26-17, with less than three minutes remaining in the half.

He had to be helped to his feet and then put his arms around his teammates before walking to the bench.

Flagg eventually left the court for the locker room and did not return.
