Officially, March Madness doesn’t start until the ball is tipped for the NCAA Tournament. But this week — Championship Week — should count.

It gives almost everyone a shot, teams that never could figure it out during the regular season from high-, mid- and low-level leagues.

Last season, N.C. State went from missing the postseason altogether to reaching the Final Four.

This is the week that miracles can happen, a tasty appetizer to the main course otherwise known as The Big Dance.
