David Hasselhoff issued a heartbreaking statement following the shocking death of his ex-wife Pamela Bach Hasselhoff.
“Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff,” David, 72, posted on social media Thursday.
“We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult period but kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that family members had not heard from Pamela and grew worried, so they wanted to check on her.
Paramedics were reportedly called to her house Wednesday night while responding to a report of an unconscious female.
Pamela was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, per the outlet, which reported that she did not leave a suicide note. She was 62.
Los Angeles Police Department officers reportedly showed up shortly afterward.
David and Pamela were married from 1989 to 2006.
Their divorce was contentious, and their disputes over monthly spousal support lasted until 2017.
They shared daughters Taylor, 34, and Hayley, 32.
Pamela appeared in “Rumble Fish,” “Baywatch,” “Sirens,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Fall Guy,” “T.J. Hooker” and “Knight Rider,” where she met David.
His reps did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
