Ole Miss football coach Lane Kiffin appeared to hard-launch his reunion with ex-wife Layla following their February 2016 divorce announcement.
Kiffin, 49, had the internet buzzing last Saturday when he posted a photo of Layla on his Instagram Story, including a home emoji and red and blue heart emojis. He also tagged Ole Miss football in the post.
Layla had visited the coach to “check” out his Mississippi home, according to Sports Illustrated.
The story took another turn Tuesday when Kiffin reshared an excerpt of a Sports Illustrated article published that day — suggesting the pair was back together — and added a curious face emoji with a monocle over one eye on X.
“The two have rekindled their love since being divorced since 2016 after 12 years of marriage and the three kids together,” read the excerpt from SI that Kiffin reposted. “On Saturday, Lane posted his wife checking out their ‘home’ at Ole Miss while slaying some sequined jeans.”
Kiffin and Layla’s eldest daughter Landry, 20, is a sophomore at Mississippi while 18-year-old daughter Presley will play volleyball at USC in the fall. Son Knox, 17, is entering his senior year of football at Oxford High School.
Kiffin also responded to someone Tuesday who said it was “awesome” that he and Layla reconciled.
“Awesome Lane. Reunited with Layla & Knox tops anything else you may accomplish. Now you can journey together. Don’t Stop Believin,” the person wrote on X.
Kiffin responded, “Thank you,” and added a smiley emoji.
It came after Kiffin and Layla spent time together over the holidays and appeared together in some of Landry’s TikTok videos last fall.
They stirred reconciliation rumors during a trip to New York City last December.
Kiffin previously dated another woman and shared their relationship on social media in August 2023.
Kiffin announced their divorce in February 2016 while he was the Alabama offensive coordinator.
“After a lot of careful thought and consideration, Layla and I have mutually decided to divorce,” Kiffin told Fox Sports at the time. “We are fully committed to our kids’ future being our No. 1 priority. We will maintain an amicable relationship with respect for each other as we raise these three wonderful children. We will have no further comments and appreciate respect for our family’s privacy.”
