Michelle Trachtenberg appeared to be in poor health during one of her final nights out in New York City before her untimely death, sources tell Page Six exclusively.
The “Gossip Girl” star was spotted having dinner with friends at Italian eatery Sartiano’s last Thursday, just six days before she was found dead.
We’re told fellow diners at the popular Soho establishment were “worried” about Trachtenberg, as she seemed to be “in very bad shape.”
One insider tells us that people at the restaurant were shocked by the actress’s evidently poor health.
Trachtenberg was so “frail,” in fact, that she could barely “walk down the stairs” during the outing, an employee told the Daily Mail.
The “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star tragically died Wednesday in her luxury Manhattan apartment. She was 39.
Sartiano’s owner Scott Sartiano subsequently shared a touching tribute to Trachtenberg along with a photo of them dining together.
“Many years of happy memories. Rest in peace Michelle 💔,” the restaurateur wrote in an Instagram Story post later Wednesday.
Sources told The Post that Trachtenberg’s mother, Lana Trachtenberg, found the “Harriet the Spy” star dead in her Columbus Circle home at approximately 8 a.m. ET.
The New York Police Department confirmed Michelle had been “unconscious and unresponsive” when first responders arrived and that she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sources told The Post that the former child star had recently undergone a liver transplant. However, her official cause of death has yet to be released. No foul play is suspected.
Michelle sparked health concerns last year when she shared a photo via Instagram in which she appeared gaunt.
Fans swiftly flooded the comments section of her post to express their worries.
The “Ice Princess” star slammed the nasty comments, replying to one internet troll, “Explain to me how I look sick.”
She added, “Did you lose a calendar and not realize I’m not 14. I’m 38. How sad for you to leave such a comment.”
Michelle subsequently shared another photo of herself and insisted she was healthy and doing well.
“I’ve received several comments recently about my appearance. I have never had plastic surgery I am happy and healthy,” she wrote at the time. “Check yourself haters.”
