Cheryl Hines kissed her husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., as he appeared in front of the Senate Finance Committee on Wednesday.
The politician will be questioned about his controversial bid to head the US Department of Health and Human Services after being picked by President Trump.
While being swarmed by photographers as they made their way into Capitol Hill in Washington, DC, the couple remained close to each other.
Once inside the hearing, Hines could be seen sitting right behind her husband of 10 years and watching intently as he was questioned.
For the eventful moment, the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” alum, 59, sported a pinstripe blue suit with a white blouse. She also chose to wear minimal jewelry while sporting a smokey makeup look.
Despite their intimate kiss, the couple kept their PDA to a minimum.
RFK Jr. is currently awaiting to be confirmed as the leader of the US Department of Health and Human Services. However, lawmakers are hesitant to confirm him after they expressed reservations about his qualifications and past vaccine denialism.
Amid their reservations, the politician claimed during his opening statement on Wednesday that he is not “anti-vaccine” or “anti-industry” but rather “pro-safety.”
He is also set to face the Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Thursday.
His hearing comes one day after his cousin, Caroline Kennedy, spoke out against his nomination, dubbing him a “predator” with “dangerous” views on vaccination who is “unqualified to fill” the role.
In a video message posted to X on Tuesday, the daughter of former President John F. Kennedy urged senators to reject her cousin.
“He lacks any relevant government, financial, management or medical experience. His views on vaccines are dangerous and willfully misinformed,” Caroline said.
“These facts alone should be disqualifying, but he has personal qualities related to this job, which for me pose even greater concern.”
She added, “It’s no surprise that he keeps birds of prey as pets because Bobby himself is a predator. He’s always been charismatic, able to attract others through the strength of his personality, his willingness to take risks and break the rules.”
In her scathing post, she also blamed RFK Jr. for causing vaccine hesitancy that led to a “deadly 2019 outbreak of measles” in American Samoa.
Caroline, 67, went on to say that she had “never wanted to speak publicly about my family members and their challenges” but his looming position would put him in charge of “protecting the most vulnerable among us.”
“They deserve better than Bobby Kennedy, and so do the rest of us. I urge the Senate to reject his nomination,” she added.
As for Hines, she has chosen to remain by the politician’s side after he was exposed for allegedly cheating on her with journalist Olivia Nuzzi in September 2024.
At the time, sources told The Post that the New York magazine political writer — who was engaged to fellow journo Ryan Lizza — and RFK Jr. allegedly began sexting after she wrote a profile about him months prior.
After Nuzzi admitted to the alleged indiscretion, the magazine announced she had been put on leave and Lizza revealed they had called off their engagement. RFK Jr. has vehemently denied he and Nuzzi were involved romantically or sexually.
As for Hines, she was photographed with her wedding ring off multiple times, suggesting they had split.
However, it wasn’t long before they made their way back to each other once more. Just one month after the alleged tryst was exposed, the two were photographed holding hands at a friend’s wedding.
She has also been seen by his side the entire time while he ran for President of the United States. At first, he ran as a Democratic nominee before declaring himself an independent candidate.
By August 2024, he retired his nomination and backed President Trump.
