Grant Ellis is back on TV after being in fifth place on Jenn Tran’s season of “The Bachelorette.” He was announced to be the next bachelor immediately following his elimination.

Ellis is a 31-year-old day trader from Newark, N.Y. who played professional basketball overseas for four years before an injury ended his career. He is the second Black “Bachelor” lead in the series’ history after Matt James.
