The week in whoppers: Bloomberg covers for Spies Who Lied, journo links DEI’s death with Jim Crow’s rebirth and more

Diary of disturbing disinformation and dangerous delusions

This tweet:

We say: Wrong. Trump stripped their security clearances because they can’t be trusted.

These are the Spies Who Lied — intentionally misleading the public on the eve of the 2020 election by suggesting The Post’s scoop about Hunter Biden’s laptop was merely a “Russian information operation.”

Their effort to ensure Joe Biden’s victory worked. Even though the story proved 1,000% true.

This quip:

We say: Harwood seems to think President Trump’s moves to purge racial preferences and divisive, wasteful DEI programs from the government puts him a step away from restoring Jim Crow in America.

How can someone so unhinged consider himself a real journalist?

Spot the difference:

“What is winter without snow? Our children are finding out.”

— Washington Post, Feb. 2, 2024

vs.

“Winter storm brings bitter cold, crippling snow to Southeast”

— Washington Post, Tuesday

We say: Oops. Climate change is supposed to be wiping out snowfall, per WaPo’s Caitlin Gibson.

At least, that is, until so much falls that it “cripples” the Southeast. Guess that’s climate change’s fault, too.

This boast:

“You can’t just spin a tale and pull the wool over people’s eyes. This is CNN.”

Jim Acosta, Wednesday

We say: You can’t spin a tale on CNN? Who knew?

They must have just rolled out some new policy, because the network has been spinning tales for years.

Examples? CNN promoted the Russia Collusion Hoax, defamed high-schooler Nick Sandman as an aggressor, backed Jussie Smollett’s claim of being beaten by MAGA-ites, pushed “top scientists’ ” denial that COVID came from a lab and on and on.
