Sandra Lee posts ‘terrifying’ video of Palisades fire: It’s reaching ‘our doorstep’

Sandra Lee has an up-close view of the destructive Palisades fire in Los Angeles County.

The chef, 58, posted several videos on Instagram Tuesday of the terrifying blaze right outside her longtime home in Malibu that she was forced to evacuate from.

“Sandra, it’s right here,” a male voice can be heard saying in the background of the first clip as Lee zooms in on the fire.

“I got everything I could,” adds the unknown man, possibly Lee’s fiancé, Ben Youcef.

A second video, shot from a moving car, shows fires in the brush abutting a highway. A third clip shows huge clouds of smoke in the air over the water.

“My home in Malibu has got me through some of the darkest moments in my life,” Lee began her caption. “I have loved creating it, embellishing it, building it, caring for it, and protecting it. I’ve cherished every moment I have had with it.”

She continued, “As the fire draws closer, I pray for it — I pray for everyone in Los Angeles right now. What an incredibly terrifying moment for my community. As the fire reaches our doorstep, please stay in contact with each other; Community in times like these is our lifeline.”

Lee noted that the fire, which started Tuesday morning in the Pacific Palisades, about 15 miles from LA’s West Hollywood neighborhood, “is inching closer to my slice of heaven in Malibu.”

“When I was waitress at the Malibu Adobe back in 1989, I dreamed of a home like this (FOR ME) and worked my butt off for it,” she said. “I am sad but I am sending all my love to all the first responders and firefighters who are literally giving it all they’ve got to keep us safe!!!”

Lee signed off her message, “Love and Prayers always- Sandra Lee.”

She received support in the comments from fans and other celebrities.

“Prayers to you all,” “American Pickers” star Mike Wolfe wrote.

“I hope your house is ok!” said Candy Spelling.

Lee famously dated former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, 67, from 2005 to 2019. In an interview last year, Lee claimed that Cuomo uttered a mystery comment in their Westchester County house that led to their split.

“I was in my kitchen and he said something, and the minute he said it, I knew what he’d just said,” she explained. “And every window and door closed. And that was it … He knows what it is; I know what it is.”

Two years after their breakup, in 2021, Cuomo resigned from office over allegations of sexual harassment against him.

The Palisades fire has torn into Malibu, where numerous other celebrities have homes, including Miley Cyrus and Mark Hamill.

The “Star Wars” actor said he left his house “so last-minute” that there were “small fires on both sides of the road” as they approached Pacific Coast Highway.

Hamill called the blaze the “most horrific fire since ’93.”

Other LA celebs who have been uprooted by the crisis include Eugene Levy, Ben Affleck, Mandy Moore and Jamie Lee Curtis.

Reality TV stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag lost their Pacific Palisades home in the massive blaze, according to TMZ, just hours after Pratt shared a video of a plane dropping water on the nearby flames on Instagram.
