Aaron Rodgers made some history before his season — and possibly his Jets career — become history.
After a zero-TD, two-interception performance in last week’s ugly loss to the Bills, the 41-year-old Rodgers managed his 500th career touchdown pass — joining Tom Brady (649), Drew Brees (571), Peyton Manning (539) and Brett Favre (507) in that exclusive club — with a 5-yard scoring completion to Tyler Conklin in the second quarter of Sunday’s game against the Dolphins at MetLife Stadium.
The score helped give the Jets the lead and Rodgers added a 13-yard touchdown strike to Allen Lazard with 59 seconds left in the first half to push the advantage to 15-6.
Things didn’t start well for the future Hall of Famer.

Rodgers’ first pass of the game, intended for Davante Adams, was deflected and picked off by linebacker Tyrel Dodson deep in Jets territory, resulting in a 26-yard field goal by Jason Sanders.
De’Von Achane also busted a 61-yard run up the middle later in the quarter to set up another field goal for a 6-0 Miami lead.
But Rodgers completed three consecutive passes to Adams, Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard for 42 yards on the Jets’ next drive.
A 20-yard grab and run by Wilson moved the ball down to the 5-yard line, before Rodgers flipped No. 500 of his 20-year NFL career to Conklin over the middle.
“I would be fine sleeping in my bed 20 years from now with 499, but 500 definitely looks better on paper,” Rodgers said earlier this week.
