The terrorist behind the savage New Year’s attack in New Orleans wore Meta-brand smart glasses as he drove through a crowd of revelers on Bourbon Street, killing 14 and wounding 35 others, officials said.
Shamsud-Din Jabbar also visited New Orleans in October and used the smart glasses to film a bicycle tour of the French Quarter, apparently planning the act of act of terror, the FBI revealed in a Sunday press conference.
The glasses were not actively recording during the attack, the FBI said.
Additionally, new security camera video shows Jabbar placing two homemade bombs on Bourbon Street before he rammed the Ford F-150 Lightning EV truck down the narrow street.
