‘American Idol’ alum Emmy Russell, 25, expecting first baby with boyfriend Tyler Ward, 40

“American Idol” alum Emmy Russell is going to be a mom.

The 25-year-old singer announced during a recent live taping of the “Got It From My Momma” podcast that she and her 40-year-old musician boyfriend, Tyler Ward, are expecting a baby girl.

“I’m so excited that [it happened] right out of ‘American Idol.’ … That’s kind of been the journey,” she added. “I’m so excited.”

Russell, who is the granddaughter of late country music legend Loretta Lynn, competed on Season 22 of “American Idol” earlier this year and made it to the Top 5.

The couple has not yet shared the pregnancy news on social media, where they only occasionally post about their relationship.

In November, Russell was invited to perform at the White House, which Ward gushed about on Instagram alongside a photo of himself standing with his girlfriend, Vice President Kamala Harris and second gentleman Doug Emhoff.

“Had the privilege of meeting @kamalaharris and her husband at the White House this year! It was surreal. Kamala was very sweet,” he wrote in his caption.

“You might be asking, how in the world did this happen?? Because @emmyroserussell is a superstar and was personally invited to perform. And me? Well…I’m just her arm candy 😂!”

They also posted two mirror selfies in June that appeared to be taken from their White House visit and captioned them, “Classified. For now…🔎.”

Ward was also there supporting Russell through every step of her “American Idol” journey, according to Us Weekly.

“I remember just even looking at Tyler, and I was just like, ‘I’m going to do this, and I’m not going to hide anymore,’” she recalled of her decision to audition for the ABC show.

“I remember when MeeMaw passed away and we got to just be alone with her, I remember holding her hand, just like, ‘I don’t know how I’m gonna do it, but I’m gonna do something with my gift.’”
