Blake Lively claims she backed out of hosting ‘SNL’ Season 50 premiere over Justin Baldoni smear campaign

Live from New York … it’s not Blake Lively.

Blake Lively is blaming Justin Baldoni for not hosting the “Saturday Night Live” Season 50 premiere in September.

The actress, 37, filed a legal complaint on Friday against Baldoni, 40, and accused him of sexual harassment on the set of “It Ends With Us” — as well as mounting a smear campaign against her.

Lively’s lawyers claimed that some of her professional commitments, including her planned “SNL” hosting gig, were impacted by Baldoni and his allies’ alleged attempts to “destroy” her reputation.

“The effects on Ms. Lively’s professional life were immediate and substantial,” the complaint read. “Given the ongoing nature of the campaign and the associated negative public sentiment, Ms. Lively did not believe she could proceed with public appearances or events without being forced to openly discuss what happened on set.”

“For example, Ms. Lively canceled a critical Target corporate event for her hair care company, and she backed out of her scheduled role to host the premier episode of the 50th anniversary season of Saturday Night Live in September 2024,” the lawsuit continued.

“Hacks” star Jean Smart hosted the debut episode of “SNL” Season 50 on Sept. 28.

“It Ends With Us,” a domestic violence drama based on the bestselling book by Colleen Hoover, was released in theaters over a month before the “SNL” premiere. At the time, Lively suffered a barrage of bad publicity as reports claimed that she and Baldoni — who directed the movie — clashed on set.

The “Gossip Girl” alum was criticized for how she promoted the domestic violence theme of the film. She was even dubbed a “mean girl” after a journalist’s old interview with the actress went viral on social media.

In her lawsuit against Baldoni, Lively accused the actor of misconduct on the set of the film. She claimed that in an emergency meeting during production, Baldoni was asked to refrain from showing Lively photos or videos of nude women, talking about her dead father, and inquiring about her weight.

Baldoni also allegedly spoke about his past porn addiction and his sexual conquests in front of Lively when they worked together.

Lively’s complaint also accused Baldoni of “a coordinated effort to destroy her reputation” following the movie’s release. She included damaging texts from Baldoni and his team as evidence.

The smear campaign, according to the complaint, caused Lively and her family — husband Ryan Reynolds and their four children — to experience “emotional distress.”

Baldoni’s lawyer denied Lively’s “completely false, outrageous” claims in a statement to The Post.

“It is shameful that Ms. Lively and her representatives would make such serious and categorically false accusations against Mr. Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios and its representatives, as yet another desperate attempt to ‘fix’ her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film,” the statement read.

Baldoni has been dropped by his talent agency in the wake of Lively’s lawsuit.
