Kylie Kelce is privy to what critics have said in the wake of the success of her podcast, “Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce,” which surpassed “The Joe Rogan Experience” atop the charts earlier this month.
Unlike some who publicly scoffed at what transpired, the soon-to-be mother of four and wife of retired Eagles center Jason Kelce has zero interest in contributing to that engagement.
“I’m focused on putting out content that people like to consume,” Kelce told The New York Times in an interview published Thursday. “If that puts us there for a week, cool. If it puts us there for longer than that, cool. But I also don’t need to feed any conflict that’s created by it.”
It’s been a whirlwind few weeks for Kelce, 32, who dropped the first episode of “Not Gonna Lie” on Dec. 5.
From there, the show — which sets “the record straight on gossip and speaking [Kelce’s] truths on topics like modern parenting, social media trends, women in sports,” per the program’s YouTube page — knocked off “The Joe Rogan Experience” as the top podcast on Apple and Spotify after an episode.
Although Kelce “couldn’t care less about the charts,” when it comes to detractors, “she seems to relish in their annoyance,” as explained by The Times.
“That’s getting me going,” she said.
Gregg Giannotti addressed the charts of the matter earlier this month on WFAN, stating in part, “If you look at any of the Joe Rogan YouTube numbers and compare that to whatever the Kelces are doing, come on … Kylie Kelce has a more listened-to podcast than Joe Rogan?
“Joe Rogan essentially influenced the [2024 presidential] election in some way … I didn’t even know [Kylie] had a podcast.”
Rogan hosted Donald Trump and JD Vance on his program in the lead-up to the 2024 presidential election.
Kelce, who has been married to future Hall of Famer Jason since 2018, has long been a fan favorite for simply being herself.
Between Jason’s flourishing sports media career and brother-in-law Travis Kelce’s relationship with Taylor Swift dominating headlines, the family’s fame has grown immensely in recent years.
Even as their stars soar to new heights, Kelce wants to keep their children’s feet planted on the ground.
“I assume this isn’t always going to be our life, and I don’t want them to be impacted in some way that twists them into thinking that this is normal,” she said.
Kelce and Jason are parents to daughters Wyatt, 5, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 1. They are expecting another daughter.
As for the future of her podcast, Kelce, who leans “aggressively” left, opened the door to politicians on her show, a la Rogan.
“I would talk to Michelle Obama in a heartbeat, and I know she is not personally running,” she said. “But I would love it if she would.”
New episodes of “Not Gonna Lie” drop on Thursdays.
