The “Vanderpump Rules” alum allegedly “caused a scene” and exhibited “erratic” behavior at Kathy Hilton’s holiday party hours before his arrest, according to a source for Us Weekly.

“His guy friend was chasing him from Kathy’s basement all the way throughout Kathy’s backyard, and James looked mad while running away,” the insider claimed.

A Page Six eyewitness shared a similar account and said Kennedy “sped across the carpet like he was trying to avoid everyone.”

“The vibes were weird,” they added.

Furthermore, Bachelor Nation star Nick Viall recalled witnessing the DJ “barking orders” at his friend while at the party during his “Viall Files” podcast Thursday.

“I was like, 10 minutes earlier I met this guy who he introduced as his best friend and then 10 minutes later he was barking orders [at him],” he claimed.

Kennedy was arrested hours after the party when the Burbank police were called to a residence around 11:30 p.m.

According to TMZ, an eyewitness told responding officers that they saw the reality star grab Lewber while they were arguing.

The outlet later reported he lifted the content creator and threw her on the ground but said officers did not notice any physical harm done to Lewber.

After being booked, Kennedy was released on $20,000 bail.

Kennedy’s lawyers, Scott Leemon and Leonard Levine, told Page Six at the time that they were “in the process of conducting” their own “investigation into the allegations levied by the Burbank Police Department against James.”

They added, “We understand that there were no injuries and we are hoping that after careful review, the city attorney’s office will decide not to file formal charges.”
