Melania Trump explains why ‘grown young man’ Barron, 18, can’t be ‘a normal student’ at college

Melania Trump and President-elect Donald Trump’s son, Barron Trump, is not having a normal college experience — and he’s aware of it.

“I don’t think it’s possible for him to be a normal student. His experience at college — it’s very different than any other kid,” the incoming first lady said on “Fox and Friends” Friday.

“I’m very proud [of] how he’s handling [it]. He’s very strong and he knows that he’s in a different position than other children.”

Barron, 18, began attending the Stern Business School at New York University in the fall after graduating from the Oxbridge Academy in West Palm Beach, Fla.

The college freshman showed up for his first day of classes in September flanked by security guards.

Melania, 54, said she has advised her only son, “Make your dreams come true. This is your road. This is your life, and make sure that you listen to yourself and your likes and dislikes.”

In the interview, the former model also gushed about Barron, calling him a “grown young man.”

“I’m very proud of him — about his knowledge, and about politics, and giving advice to his father,” she said before noting his impact on the election. “He brought in so many young people. He knows his generation.”

Melania added, “It was incredible how he brought in success because he knew exactly who his father needs to contact.”

Barron — who is the youngest of Donald’s five children — played a significant role in the former Republican candidate’s campaign, letting him know which podcasts to interview with in order to reach a younger audience.

As a result, Donald 78, sat down with with streamer Adin Ross, “This Past Weekend with Theo Von,” “Flagrant” with comic Andrew Schulz and the “PBD Podcast” with businessman Patrick Bet-David.

The President-elect admitted to Theo Von before their interview started that Barron had said to him, “Dad, he’s big. He’s a big one.”

“Barron has been very involved in recommending a number of the podcasts that we should do,” Trump campaign senior adviser Jason Miller previously told Politico’s “Playbook Deep Dive” podcast.

“I got to tell you, hats off to the young man. Every single recommendation he’s had has turned out to be absolute ratings gold that’s broke the internet.”

Trump beat Kamala Harris in the 2024 US presidential election in what many deemed to be a landslide victory by winning the majority of the electoral college and the popular vote.
