Just call her the realest daughter of Beverly Hills.
Kathy Hilton’s kooky antics keep Bravo lovers in stitches — and daughter Nicky is just as amused as the fans.
The fashion designer spoke with Page Six Style about her mom’s signature pleated bucket hats on Wednesday night’s Footwear News Achievement Awards 2024 red carpet, declaring the accessories a hit.
When asked about the eye-catching Lorna Murray designs, which Kathy gifted to her co-stars while inviting them on a trip to Oceanside, Calif., the mom of three gave them her stamp of approval.
“I love the pleated hats. I love them,” Nicky said, adding that she would “absolutely” wear the toppers — which are actually part of Kathy’s collaboration with the brand and retail for between $145 and $250.
“I don’t think in the winter in New York City, but a Palm Beach trip? 100%,” she said.
Kathy launched her collection last month, but has been wearing various versions of the same lampshade hat from the Australian brand for years.
On Tuesday night’s episode of “RHOBH,” Kyle Richards, Dorit Kemsley, Erika Girardi, Bozoma Saint John, Garcelle Beauvais, Sutton Stracke and Jennifer Tilly all received hand-delivered, personalized suitcases packed with different hats that matched their personalities. (Plus other goodies including Kathy’s favorite drink, Red Bull.)
“What I love is it gives height,” Kathy told Kemsley in a scene. “It’s very big in the South of France.”
“I love that Kathy chose a very Chanel-inspired hat to give to me. Talk about chic!” Kemsley cooed of her polka-dotted design.
Richards was less impressed; “You look like a whole lamp,” she deadpanned upon seeing sister Kathy in her hat.
And while Kathy famously does not watch the Bravo show, daughter Nicky does, saying of her mom, “She is just pure comedy. And it’s just who she is — it’s not some contrived, rehearsed thing. She’s hysterical.”
Paris Hilton’s elder sister also teased her mom’s legendary Christmas party, revealing that she’ll be dressing plenty of guests in festive looks from her own Rebecca Vallance collaboration — and said that her daughter said grandma “Kiki” decorated her house like “Whoville” for the shindig.
There’s never a dull moment in the house of Hilton.
