After an unusually warm November, with no snow accumulation, winter may finally have arrived in Montreal.
As snow continued to fall Thursday afternoon, Environment Canada said the temperature is expected to follow suit.
The federal agency is forecasting an overnight low of -7C and warning that the wind chill could make that feel more like -15C.
The sub-zero temperatures are expected to last through the weekend with a high of -7C on Saturday, dropping down to -9C overnight, before rising to a high of -3C on Sunday, with snow expected on both days.
But the temperature is expected to rise back above freezing on Monday, with periods of snow or rain, before rising to a high of 6C on Tuesday, when the snow will be replaced by a chance of showers.
