On this day in 1949, students at the School of Agriculture worked in the school’s reading room.
From the StarPhoenix archives:
This is the new School of Agriculture on the University of Saskatchewan campus. It is not to be confused with the College of Agriculture, which confers degrees following a full-length course.
The School of Agriculture offers instruction in a multiplicity of farm subjects to students who study five months and gives diplomas after two years. Usually about 200 farmers take this course.
This picture shows a reading room in the school. … The school also contains a library, cafeteria, rumpus room, laundry, tuck shop and sound recording room.
