Two men are wanted for murders that occurred in Regina, while one man is wanted for a murder that took place in Saskatoon.
Another Saskatchewan murder suspect has landed a spot on Canada’s most wanted list, bringing the total to three as police continue to look for any information that could lead to arrests.
Daniel “Juma” Drie Atem and Reshaun Norman Cote are both wanted by the Regina Police Service (RPS) in relation to two separate murders. Atem has been on the list since April. At the time, he marked the first time a suspect wanted by Regina police made the Top 25.
“Losing him is not over. Every night, every day, every move we make — he’s in our thoughts,” said his dad, Delroy, at the time. The family offered thanks to those working on the case and added their voice to those calling for the public’s help to locate Atem.
The reward money is available until June 3, 2025 and must be claimed within one year of the arrest.
Atem is described as 6-foot-3, roughly 140 pounds, with black hair, brown eyes, a dark complexion and thin build. Anyone who sees Atem is urged not to take action to apprehend him, as he may be armed and dangerous.
Number nine on the list, Cote is facing a charge of second-degree murder related to the death of 22-year-old Everett Wolfe Roberts-Orr of Regina. The homicide occurred on May 12, 2024 and the RPS announced he was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant on May 21.
He is described as “male, approximately 6’0” tall, medium build, short brown hair, and brown eyes.” He has “angel wing” tattoos on both sides of his neck and should not be approached because he is likely armed and dangerous, according to the RPS.
Tips can be submitted to the RPS by calling 306-777-6500 or anonymously to Regina Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPPS (8477) or reginacrimestoppers.ca.
Saskatoon police and Saskatoon Crime Stoppers are offering a reward of $50,000 until June 3, 2025 for information leading to the arrest of Jonathan Ouellet-Gendron, 36.
He has Canada-wide warrants on 14 charges, including murder, drug trafficking and firearms offences.
Ouellet-Gendron is accused of first-degree murder in the May 19, 2022 shooting death of Brandon Baxandall, 29, in Saskatoon.
Responding to reports of shots fired, city police rushed to the 700 block of Melrose Avenue in the city’s Nutana neighbourhood around 4:30 p.m. and found Baxandall’s body behind an apartment building. Two other men, ages 25 and 35, were also injured.
Ouellet-Gendron is known to use multiple aliases, including Brian Marchand, Samuel Beruber, “Tommy,” Francis Barrette, Andrew Sauver, Martin Pelletier and Kevin Reil.
He was born in Montreal and speaks English with a French accent. His last known residence was in Toronto, but police believe he may be anywhere in Canada. He is known to use fake identity documents.
Ouellet-Gendron is 5-foot-6. His last known weight was 140 pounds. He has brown eyes and his last known hair colour was black. He may have a light moustache or beard and often wears prescription glasses.
He has multiple tattoos, including gorilla heads on his upper torso, a Mayan statue on his right hand and a black rose on his left wrist.
Police say he may be armed and should not be approached.
