Two women were attacked inside a business around 8 p.m. Thursday, according to the Sûreté du Québec.
The Sûreté du Québec has launched a manhunt after a woman in her 30s was killed during a robbery Thursday night in the town of St-Anselme in the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
Provincial police said Friday morning that an individual, possibly armed, entered a local business around 8 p.m. and injured two women, one of them fatally, before fleeing the scene on foot. The second victim, a woman in her 20s, was taken to hospital where her injuries were determined not to be life threatening.
A crime scene has been set up at the site of the incident and the investigation was continuing Friday morning.
St-Anselme is about 50 kilometres south of Quebec City.
