Quebec says the government has not obtained “an appropriate followup” and that it must be sure Consignaction can fulfill its mandate.
Environment Minister Benoit Charette informed reporters of the development on Thursday, saying the government had made “numerous requests for information” from Consignaction and its operator, the Association québécoise de récupération des contenants de boissons (OQRCB), and that “unfortunately” the ministry had not obtained “an appropriate followup.”
