Salty gunman sentenced for shooting stranger in face after he refused to share his potato chips at strip club

A salty gunman will spend at least nine years behind bars for shooting a stranger in the face after he refused to share his potato chips at an Ohio strip club.

Melvin Wright, Jr., 43, was sentenced Monday to nine to 12 years in prison after pleading guilty to attempted murder and other related charges for the Nov. 28, 2023, non-fatal shooting, according to the Summit County Prosecutor’s Office.

“Summit County is safer without Melvin Wright on our streets,” Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich said.
