Montreal firefighters finished off the job by extinguishing the flames.
An attempt early Wednesday to firebomb the entranceway of a commercial building on Parc. Ave. near Beaumont Ave. was thwarted when a passerby took it upon themselves to bring the flames under control.
Montreal firefighters finished off the job by extinguishing the flames and by 1:30 a.m. were calling Montreal police when evidence clearly suggested a firebomb had been thrown at the building.
There were no injuries reported, damage to the interior of the building was slight and the investigation was continuing on Wednesday morning.
