It is no sure thing that Tommy DeVito will make it an Italian Thanksgiving for the Giants.
DeVito is dealing with forearm soreness and is “not 100 percent” certain to play Thursday against the Cowboys after he took a beating in his first start of the season.
The Giants are holding two walkthroughs Tuesday in lieu of a true practice and DeVito – who was not listed on Monday’s injury report – came out to the field for the first with a sleeve on his arm and reported some soreness.
Head coach Brian Daboll plans to give Drew Lock some snaps in Tuesday’s practice.
If Lock is starting in place of an injured DeVito, Tim Boyle – who was added to the roster last week after Daniel Jones was benched and eventually released – would be one snap away from playing.
“We’ll see where we’re at,” Daboll said. “He threw in the walkthrough. I wouldn’t say there’s timing or a lot of depth to it. He’s going to test it out here (later Tuesday), so I’m hopeful but it’s not 100 percent.”
