Prince Harry’s longtime pal James Haskell slammed the royal family as “very dysfunctional” in a new interview.

The former rugby union player told the London Times, in an interview published Tuesday, that he’s spent a lot of time with the Windsors over the years.

“Some aren’t as great as others,” he said. “They do amazing work — but they’re also a modern family that’s very dysfunctional.”

Despite the criticism, Haskell defended the monarchy, opining that they “serve an important role” and he loves “what they do.”

For the last few years, the family has displayed discord with Harry after he laid bare his issues with his brother and father in his explosive memoir, “Spare.”

Recent reports surfaced that William and Harry’s relationship was “very bad” but not “irreparable” over the summer.

Harry’s relationship with King Charles does not appear to be much better as the monarch has reportedly stopped talking to him, despite the Duke of Sussex rushing over to the UK upon hearing about his father’s cancer diagnosis.

Last month, the Invictus Games founder visited his homeland and did not see either his father or brother.

Haskell, 39, has a special connection to the royals as he hosts a podcast, “The Good, the Bad & the Rugby,” alongside Alex Payne and Mike Tindall.

Tindall is married to Princess Anne’s daughter, Zara Phillips. The Tindalls are close to Prince William and Kate Middleton as well as Harry and Meghan Markle.

Haskell attended both Tindall’s 2011 wedding as well as Harry’s wedding to Markle in 2018.

Last year, William and Middleton appeared on the podcast, along with Princess Anne, where Middleton shared that she loves to go swimming in frigid temperatures.

“The colder, the better. … And it’s dark, and it’s raining, I absolutely love it,” she gushed.
