Carrie Dornstauder was introduced Monday as the new executive director, effective Jan. 20.
Dornstauder said she is “excited for the opportunity to serve the mission of Catholic Health” and also “eager to learn from the St. Paul’s team, the community of Pleasant Hill and the many partners who play an important role in improving access to the health care services of a young and vital community.”
She is a registered nurse with more than 25 years of experience in health care, and almost 20 years of leadership experience. Most recently, she filled the role of executive director of maternal and children’s provincial programs for the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

“Emmanuel Health is excited to have Carrie Dornstauder joining our team,” said Corey Miller, president and CEO of Emmanuel Health.
“Carrie will be an excellent fit to build on the strong foundation that previous leadership in Catholic Health have started here at St. Paul’s Hospital.”
“Carrie brings an invaluable passion for and commitment to serving the needs of the vulnerable,” St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation CEO Lecina Hicke said.
