Dave Portnoy slams ‘lunatic’ fan who screamed at Jason Kelce for an autograph: ‘Getting bullied by a–holes’

Dave Portnoy defended Jason Kelce after a “lunatic” fan hurled expletives at the former NFL star for not signing autographs following his appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”

After the show Thursday night, Kelce left Los Angeles’ El Capitan Theatre without stopping for autograph seekers, leading some of them to lash out at the Philadelphia Eagles legend.

One man climbed up the fence and began berating Kelce, calling him a “p—y” and a “s–t bag,” among other things.

The Super Bowl winner eventually gave in, exiting his SUV and walking over to the waiting crowd to diffuse the situation.

However, Portnoy told his X followers Friday that he wished the retired athlete had stood his ground.

“I HATE that Jason Kelce got back out of his car and signed this lunatics autograph,” the Barstool Sports founder, 47, replied to the video.

“He’s getting bullied by a–holes. That guy should be in prison not getting an autograph to flip.”

This wasn’t the first unruly fan Kelce has dealt with in recent weeks.

Earlier this month, the “New Heights” podcast host went viral for slamming a college student’s phone to the ground — which Portnoy argued at the time was justified.

The retired athlete was headed to a game at Pennsylvania State University when a student shoved their phone in his face and labeled his brother, Travis Kelce, “a f—-t for dating Taylor Swift.”

In response, Jason grabbed the man’s phone and threw it to the ground, theoretically asking, “Who is the f—t now?”

The soon-to-be late-night host later expressed regret over repeating the slur and losing his temper.

“In a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate, and I just don’t think that that’s a productive thing,” he told ESPN viewers one day later.

“I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it,” Jason added.

However, Portnoy had a different take on the situation, telling his followers that Jason “shoulda smashed this guys nose into his brain.”

“The only thing Kelce should have apologized for is maybe using the F word. But anybody with a brain knows he was just repeating what was said to him,” the media mogul added in a follow-up tweet.

“If he called him a p—y, b—h, a–hole that woulda been the word he used,” he added. “Golden rule was applied perfectly. He treated that guy exactly how he deserved to be treated.”
