Gabrielle Union and Dwyane Wade just bought a chic beach house on Long Island — and, no, not in the Hamptons

A splash of Hollywood is coming to the North Fork of Long Island, we hear.

Sources tell Gimme Shelter that Gabrielle Union, the actress and activist, and former NBA star Dwyane Wade are the new owners of a $2.6 million beach house in Jamesport, NY — shunning the high-gloss nature of the Hamptons for the more laid-back luxury of the North Fork.

Just like its new celebrity owners, the property is a star in its own right. The modern home had previously been featured in the shelter magazines Domino and Dwell.

The sellers are the New York Times-bestselling author Julie Satow — her latest book, released earlier this year, is “When Women Ran Fifth Avenue” — and her husband Stuart Elliott, the CEO and editor-in-chief of the Real Deal, a national source of real estate trade news. They declined to comment on the sale.

The residence was built on the site of a 1940s cottage teardown that the couple purchased for $600,000 in 2016.

It was designed by Eric Liftin from Mesh Architectures and custom-built in 2020 with interiors by Jennifer Bunsa of Bunsa Studio.

At 3,500 square feet, the dwelling comes with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and an additional study/guest room.

Design details include high ceilings, an open floor plan, walls of glass and water views. An eat-in chef’s kitchen helps anchor the home, while filters on a skylight and window add a touch of pink to warm up the home with natural lighting.

There’s also a main bedroom suite with a private balcony, a spa-like bath and a home-office nook with an antique desk and water views.

The spread also features a basement that could hold a home gym as well as storage. A screened porch, a waterfront deck, and an outdoor shower and hot tub add to the charm.

The home sits on 0.47 acres on the Long Island Sound with a private beach — it and comes with its own generator.

The listing broker was Corcoran’s Sheri Winter Parker, who could not be reached for comment.
