How WWE’s new women’s United States championship can bring a roster shakeup felt at WrestleMania

The WWE women’s United States championship tournament should have after-effects felt on the road to WrestleMania 41 — with a potential babyface shakeup that could lead to a match fans have been dreaming of.

If you look at the bracket, with Bayley advancing Friday to the semifinals, it’s clear the stories that need to be told.

We have already seen tension between Bayley and Naomi, with the latter seeming to be leaning toward the first heel turn of her career. Bayley, we saw on Friday, appears to have issues with women’s tag team champions Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill as both sides seem to want to be the closest to Naomi. Bayley was left off their side of the women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series after Rhea Ripley returned to take the final spot on Monday.

All four of them can reach the tournament’s semifinals via triple-threat matches with Bayley possibly facing Belair and Cargill facing Naomi.
