The ’90s are about to meet the ’00s.
Goo Goo Dolls just announced they’re hitting the road from July through September 2025 for their ‘Summer Anthem Tour’ with Dashboard Confessional.
Along the way, the co-headliners will make four New York and New Jersey stops.

After that, John Rzeznik and co. drop into Holmdel, NJ’s PNC Bank Arts Center on Friday, Aug. 1, Long Island’s Jones Beach Theater on Saturday, Aug. 2 and Buffalo’s KeyBank Center on Saturday, Aug. 9.
“We’re busy putting together our 15th studio album so we will have some great new songs and of course we’ll be playing all the songs you know and love,” Goo Goo Dolls shared via Instagram.
“Every tour we do is about making new friends and reuniting with everyone who’s been with us since day one…It’s gonna be a summer of loud music and good friends and we can’t wait to get it going!”
Prior to the tour, Goo Goo Dolls will play Verona, NY’s Turning Stone Resort Casino on Saturday, Jan. 4.

Goo Goo Dolls new music
Although Goo Goo Dolls teased a new album, they’ve only released one song this year and that was back in February.
The track, “Beautiful Lie,” is an uplifting rocker that fits squarely into the “Summer Anthem” genre. It’s got a memorable hook in “you’re such a beautiful lie” and hypnotic beat. In fact, we can already imagine ourselves singing along at an amphitheater this summer.
Want to hear for yourself? You can find “Beautiful Lie” here.
Dashboard Confessional new music
Thus far, Dashboard Confessional has dropped two new tunes in 2024.
“It Was Real To Me” featuring Mokita is a mellow entry in their canon and has mid-set slow jam written all over it if the band decides to include the song in their 2025 set list.
Their collaboration with BOYS LIKE GIRLS, “Watch The Fire,” is a bit more upbeat with its thumping drums, dueling vocals and trademark emo lyrics. It’s a certified jam that sounds a bit more mature than the group’s biggest hits.
