Jake Paul’s girlfriend pays tribute to him after win over Mike Tyson

Jake Paul’s girlfriend, Jutta Leerdam, said Friday’s megafight, in which he defeated legendary boxer Mike Tyson was “bigger than the Super Bowl.”

The Olympic speed-skater applauded Paul for putting on another record-breaking event — Netflix said viewership peaked at 65 million concurrent streams — in a sweet tribute posted to her Instagram.

“Selling out the AT&T stadium and crashing Netflix together with the legend @miketyson 🩵 You’ve only been doing this sport for a few years and you make the most massive events happen,” Leerdam wrote. “People can say what they want but they watched it and it broke records. Bigger than the Super Bowl.

“You keep showing me and the world that dreaming big and manifestation works @jakepaul I’m so proud of you. You inspire me and so many people out there to think big and if you work hard and believe in it then you can make it happen. 🦋🩵.”

Leerdam attended the eight-round heavyweight bout, which took place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, with her and Paul’s parents, she shared on Instagram.

The couple and their families gathered together in the ring after 27-year-old Paul’s unanimous decision win over Tyson, 58.

Paul and Leerdam, who went public with the romance on Instagram in April 2023, kissed while they were surrounded by photographers in the ring.

The athletes were first linked in March 2023, after Paul’s split from ex-girlfriend, model Julia Rose.

Paul improved to 11-1 in his professional fighting career, while Tyson dropped to 50-7.

The YouTube personality bowed to Tyson — who came out of retirement to fight Friday, after nearly 20 years — at the end of their match.

Many thought the Tyson-Paul bout fell flat, despite bringing in record-breaking viewership.

Tyson looked slow and gassed early on in the fight.

Afterward, Tyson revealed he almost died in June.

“This is one of those situations when you lost but still won,” he wrote on X. “I’m grateful for last night. No regrets to get in ring one last time. I almost died in June.

“Had 8 blood transfusions. Lost half my blood and 25lbs in hospital and had to fight to get healthy to fight so I won. To have my children see me stand toe to toe and finish 8 rounds with a talented fighter half my age in front of a packed Dallas Cowboy stadium is an experience that no man has the right to ask for. Thank you.”

Tyson’s former trainer Jeff Fenech said he spoke with Tyson multiple times since his loss to Paul and that the former heavyweight world champ still wants to compete again.

However, Fenech advised him against it because Tyson has nothing left to prove.
