2025 Hyundai Elantra N TCR gets brake upgrades, massive wing

Like a Porsche 911 GT3, this track-ready sport compact rocks a huge spoiler mounted on swan-neck struts

  • Hyundai’s new 2025 Elantra N TCR Edition adds upgrade aero features and some neat chassis tweaks
  • The most obvious enhancement, though, is an adjustable carbon-fibre wing with swan-neck struts
  • The Elantra N TCR launches in its native Korea in December before rolling out globally next year

There isn’t any extra power, though the stock N is hardly down on grunt. Under the hood is a turbocharged 2.0L capable of making entertaining noises, in addition to a steady 276 horsepower. We say “steady” because 286 ponies can be briefly summoned by mashing a boost button. All that power is funnelled through the front wheels by a six-speed stick or eight-speed automatic.

Hyundai has given the interior a smattering of unique touches, including seatbelt webbing in the Hyundai N signature light blue, called Performance Blue. That’s a detail we haven’t seen in a spell. There is also a Performance Blue strip at the Alcantara-clad steering wheel’s 12 o’clock position, along with a gunshot of TCR Edition badging about the cabin.

“Hyundai Motor has incorporated the experience and expertise accumulated in motorsports into Elantra N TCR Edition,” said Joon Park, Vice President of N Brand Management Group. “We will continue to enhance the DNA of Hyundai N, so that N-thusiasts can experience the thrill of motorsports in their daily lives.”
