From Terry’s Chocolate Orange pies at McDonald’s, to sage and onion hash browns at Popeyes, the major fast food chains in the UK have been unveiling their Christmas menus.

There’s plenty to choose from this year, but if you want to get your hands on one limited-edition menu item, then you’ll have to be quick as rumour has it, it’s going to sell out very soon.

Taco Bell is shaking up the traditional festive sarnie by launching its first ever Christmas Burrito. The limited-edition menu item is described as a ‘flavour bomb’, and is packed with either grilled chicken or seasoned black beans, a sweet and tangy cranberry chilli sauce, and veggie stuffing.

But that’s not all, there’s also Mexican rice, creamy nacho cheese sauce, crushed nacho chips, and a three cheese blend all loaded up inside.

The twist on a Christmas sandwich has proved popular with fast food fans online who have hailed it as ‘dreamy’, and claimed they ‘need to try it so bad’.

The whole thing will set you back £5.79, but there’s a catch – it’s only available in select stores across the country. Those keen to try can get their hands on one in London, Manchester, Sheffield, Cardiff, and Glasgow.

For those who do purchase one, there’s also a potential surprise in store, as a few lucky customers be surprised with an exclusive Taco Bell cracker to pull with a pal.

Jessica Kleinert, Head of Marketing at Taco Bell UK said: ‘Our burrito game is strong at Taco Bell and this year we wanted to shake up the traditional sandwich scene with a festive offering of our own.

‘Our twist on cheesy indulgence with bold holiday flavours is hitting five stores across the country, and if fans fall hard for the seasonal burrito, it might just make an appearance nationwide next year.’

The burrito is available in five restaurants across the UK now, while supplies last, but the chain anticipates it could sell out by Tuesday, November 19 as demand has been high.

If this isn’t for you, and you’d prefer a chicken sandwich or some hearty poutine, then the UK’s newest fast food chain might be of interest to you.

Canadian institution, MB Chicken, recently headed across the pond to open its first location in London.

On the menu you’ll find items like the Big Mary, which is the chain’s signature chicken sandwich. It features a chicken breast breaded in Mary Brown’s signature recipe, cooked until it’s golden brown and served on a sesame seed bun with mayo and lettuce, plus a pickle on top.

Other popular items include Taters, which look very similar to potato wedges, all sorts of signature chicken options and combos, from a 2-piece meal to an 18-piece feast, Chicken Pop-Ins, Chicken Tenders, a spicy version of Big Mary, and flaky buttermilk biscuits.

They also sell Tater Poutine, a ‘bold twist’ on the traditional Canadian dish which features french fries and cheese curds, topped with gravy. This version will feature the chain’s signature Taters instead of fries. The Irish potatoes are topped with shredded cheese and smothered in house-made gravy.

As well as these, the UK menu also features several new items that aren’t available in Canada, including MB Soft-Serve Ice Cream, Shakes and Halloumi Fries.
