Jaylen Brown’s Nike feud continues over ‘weird’ Giannis Antetokounmpo post

Jaylen Brown and Nike’s feud lives on.

The Celtics star fired back after the sportswear brand appeared to take a shot at him while celebrating Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 59-point performance in a win against the Pistons on Wednesday.

“Nothing childish about ’em. 59 for the Greek freak,” Nike posted on X.

Antetokounmpo has a shoe deal with Nike.

“Yall got weird energy,” Brown wrote, including Nike’s post in his message, on X.

Nike’s message was a clear reference Brown saying “Giannis is a child” after Boston beat Milwaukee 113-107 on Nov. 10.

Brown’s comment was in reference to an incident in the second quarter when Antetokounmpo hit Brown with an elbow to the face while attempting a layup.

They were seen chirping at one another before The Greek Freak faked a handshake by going for a high five and then pulling his hand away at the last second.

Brown and Nike have a history.

The reigning NBA Finals MVP was vocal about being left off the Team USA basketball roster that competed at the Paris Olympics this past summer — and won gold.

After the news that his teammate Derrick White replaced Clippers star Kawhi Leonard on the Olympic roster, Brown then called out Nike, who designed the 2024 Olympic uniforms, in another post that read: “This what we doing?”

Brown, who is not a Nike athlete, did not elaborate further after that, but suggested that Nike, the longtime sponsor of the Olympic Games, was behind his exclusion from the team.

In 2022, Brown publicly called out Nike over its perceived ethics.
